A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to invalid addresses under the same domain name. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

If you have a cloud website hosting with our company and you wish to enable the catch-all feature for a given mailbox that you have in your account, it will take literally only one click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to do that. A catch-all button is available to the right of each email address that you have set up under any domain name hosted in your account. You can select one single address per domain name by clicking on the corresponding button. This will activate the feature immediately, so all emails sent to misspelled email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button once more will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got activated email forwarding, our system will exhibit a cautionary notification and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you disable the forwarding or you can simply select some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server plan that we are offering will permit you to create a catch-all mailbox with ease even in case you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you have created with your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you have already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you do not want the feature anymore, you can turn it off by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
